Xtreme Powdercoating has the colors you need! If we don't we will find it!
1. Clean / Prepare:
Items are stripped of any existing paint or foreign materials insuring it is
clean so that the powder has the best adhesion. Items that have been
previously powder coated might need cleaned using chemicals.
2. Pre-Heated:
Parts are heated as just another step in cleaning your parts. This
process rids items of any left over chemicals that can't be seen by the
naked eye.
3. Pre-powder:
Parts are masked as needed. Bolt holes or areas that need to be clear
of powder coating are covered.
4. Powder Application:
Parts are now covered in the "powder" of powder coating. The powder is
applied in a way that electrically charges it so it clings to the metal.
5. Heat Baked: Now
that the item is thoroughly coated with powder it is baked to 600 degrees
and during this process the powder changes in a liquid and adheres to the
metal.
*** Special ***
Candies and metallic colors
go through additional steps as to arrive at the final desired look. It
is basically steps 4 & 5 over again as needed. Example candy blue
requires a base color of silver and then the blue.
